Luke 3:11 “If you have two coats give one to the poor. If you extra food, give it away to those who are hungry.”

New Beginnings has been blessed with Crazy Favor in that iCare Ministry was established to provide food on an emergency basis to our Church Family and to our Community Family.

Sign-ups for our Church Family are on the first Sunday of each month following our 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services.

On the 2nd Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m., iCare distributes a 20 lb. box filled with food or a bag full of groceries.

For our Community Family located in Monrovia, Duarte or Arcadia a valid CA ID is required for the food box, however, only a name and address is required for a bag of groceries.

There are several ways to volunteer for this rewarding ministry?

  • Volunteers are needed for the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. to unload our truck and to pack grocery bags.
  • Volunteers are needed on the 2nd Saturday of the month to distribute food to our Church Family and to our Community. Set up starts at 8:30 am. We distribute until 11 am (Rain or Shine).
  • In order for New Beginnings to be blessed with this “Crazy Favor” we need to volunteer at Dovetail Ministries located in Montebello. We volunteer on 2nd Tuesday of the month from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.. A hot lunch is provided around 2:00. If you volunteer at Dovetail you need to work a minimum of 3 hours for New Beginnings to get credit for your effort.
